The sled

After returning
to Norway, Astrup got the sled makers at Torgersen’s sport to make him an ash sled from his own notebook drawings. Based on ancient inuit designs, the makers made a  strong, light sled, with great lines and beauty. Currently the sled is exhibited with many of Astrup’s other belongings at the Fram museum. When this exhibit is over, the sled will return to the “sled-room” at the Norwegian ski museum.
